Betsy and Phil's father, Dr. Thrailkill, came to M Capital many years ago with some very specific requests. Like many high net worth clients who initially come to us, he had investment assets in many different places with many different advisors. He needed our help to consolidate these assets and map out a financial plan that would provide immediate income for him and his wife, Betty. Equally important, Dr. Thrailkill wanted a road map for the future to ensure lifetime income for his wife after his death and a way to preserve these assets to ensure they would pass down to his children and grandchildren.

We brought in our tax and estate planning teams to work side-by-side with the Thrailkills as we began mapping out strategies to fulfill their goals. We organized the assets into separate portfolios, each of which aligned with the Thrailkill's needs, including current income and growth for future generations. With the help of the estate planning team, trusts were created to protect the assets for future generations and Betsy and Phil assumed the role of co-trustees. Dr. Thrailkill passed away in 2010, but his love for his family shines through in the legacy he created for them.
